have a car at their disposal to take you around and show you sights in and
around the city and explain things with a local perspective. This probably
the best way to know the people and the locals point of views on the best
places to eat, drink, shop, or travel to.

Guide
The tour will expose you to the simple lifestyle and culture of the aborigine as
well as the real feeling of being in the tropical rainforest with a guided tour
by an expert on the Malaysian jungle. The journey to the tropical rainforest in
the outskirts of the city will take approximately an hour. Along the way you
pass through typical Malay kampung villages and scenes of friendly people going
about their daily chores
Our first stop on the way is the aboriginal museum. Among the displays are
weapons used for hunting, clothing made from tree barks, traditional musical
instruments, etc. An introduction at the place and activities will be carried
out immediately on arrival before proceeding with jungle trekking by identifying
various fruit trees. Test your skill with the blowpipe shooting or fishing
(catch & release) at the nearby fresh water pond using the bamboo rod or simply
take a dip in the nearby river. Lunch will be served at the jungle resort

FRIM - Forest Research Institute of Malaysia
Located 16km northwest of Kuala Lumpur, the Forest Research Institute of
Malaysia is a well managed forest science park. Covering 600 hectares of
experimental plants, arboretum and reforested areas.
FRIM is the nearest nature destination and nature trek option
for visitors in Kuala Lumpur, who wish to see and experience the wonders of
a tropical forest without the rigours of travelling to National Parks. There
are jungle trails for nature treks, a Canopy Walkway, a herb garden, a
museum exhibiting different species of tropical wood, their uses and
products
Located within, at a height of about 300m, is a Canopy Walkway. This walkway
system spans about 200m and is suspended on trees about 30m above ground.
The walkway system and the platforms are vantage points from which one
experiences a panoramic view of the forest.
Also includes brief visit to the aboriginal museum. Among the displays are
weapons used for hunting, clothing made from tree barks, traditional musical
instruments, etc.
