Putrajaya - Places to Visit in Kuala Lumpur
Destinations and Sights - Outskirts of Kuala Lumpur

Termed as Malaysia's first Intelligent Garden City and situated 25 km south of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya is the new Administrative Centre of the Federal Government. Named after Malaysia’s first Prime Minister, the late Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, it is a planned futuristic model city with lush greenery built with emphasis on design and architectural significance.

Of special interest to a visitor would be the architectural concepts of its buildings, designs of its square, boulevards and bridges, the scenic lake and the wetlands and nature parks.

The vast man-made Putrajaya Lake is the city’s centre-piece that spreads over 400 hectares, a blue watery expanse which blends across the different precincts. For the best views of Putrajaya, take a cruise around the lake. Through this meandering lake visitors can take a leisurely lake cruise to see the many sights and landmarks from e unique perspective - with wind in your hair and the light spray of water turns the cruise into an experience no one should miss.

The best way to take in the many sights would be to go on a private day or a night tour, with pick-up from KL and a vehicle and guide at your disposal for a leisurely visit of the various sights and topped off with a with a lake cruise.
