Sunway Lagoon - Places to Visit in Kuala Lumpur
Destinations and Sights - Outskirts of Kuala Lumpur

Great place for the kids and adults. Consist of a water park and a 'dry' park with a multitude of rides that will test your endurance to the limit. Also has a mini zoo and a long rope bridge going across the water-park (about 100 metres or more...not for the faint-hearted). Great fun day, for the family especially. You can even do a spot of surfing with the artificial waves at the waterpark

Located at Bandar Sunway, a township between Petaling Jaya and Subang Jaya, it is Malaysia's premier theme park, spread over some 30 hectares of what was once a tin mine." Sunway Lagoon has attracted more than 20 million local and foreign visitors since its inception in 1993.

Its latest attraction is the Sunway Surf Beach; the world’s largest man-made beach. The beach comes complete with three islands near a 1.6km stretch of sandy area. And, the waves reach up to a height of 2.4m (8 ft), something that would delight not just the amateur but also professional surfers. Sunway Lagoon brought in 6,000 tonnes of sand and 146 palm trees to make the venue look like a real beach.

Sunway Lagoon is separated into three major themed lands - Waters of Africa, Wild Wild West and World of Adventure, each boasting their own unique attractions.

WATERS OF AFRICA
Introduces 11 brand new thrilling and exciting water slides
Congo Challenge - A headfirst six-lane racer water ride whereas
Cameroon Climb - The first-in-the world double tube water ride that steeply drops two riders at one time from as high as 15 metres, and shoots them up again to a height of eight metres.
African Pythons - Spin around in loops before being propelled out of gigantic tubes

WILD WILD WEST
Takes one back to the old frontier of cowboys and Indians. Discover authentically-styled facades and totem poles which further enhance the feel of a cowboy town. Find yourselves in the company of roaming Apache Indians and saloon dancing girls, as you stroll along the streets of the Wild Wild West.

Get wet on the exhilarating Niagara Falls Flume Ride, be swirled around the raging waters of the Grand Canyon River Rapids and feel the world going upside down as you experience the 360-degree swings of the Tomahawk. Fun rides for the whole family here include the Buffalo Bill Coaster, Apache Pots and Butch Cassidy's Trail.

WORLD OF ADVENTURE
The World's Longest Pedestrian Suspension Bridge, measuring 428m in length, offers a breathtaking view of the whole Lagoon from a dizzying height. The Lost City of Gold ride takes the adventurous through tunnels, booby traps and tarantulas. World of Adventure is also the home of Lagoon's Siberian and Bengal tigers. Other attractions include the swinging Galleon the heart-stopping Flying Carpet.

KALAHARI KIDS
Catering for children of the lower age and below who sit out whilst the bigger kids have all the fun.
This place is constructed to specifically give the younger kids. Fenced in and set apart from the rest of the park, it is a very safe establishment and the kids can have a really peaceful time playing whatever suits their fancy.

Designed to resemble a humble African village in the middle of nowhere, and to ensure that there are enough to keep the kids busy for hours to come. A selection of water guns and tip buckets line the posts along with some slides. A very large tip bucket at the top of the architecture showers torrents of water down on laughing children like a mini waterfall.

MORPHIS SIMULATOR
the first fully dedicated motion simulation experience, bound to satiate anyone's adrenaline desire. The new ride provides its riders with the unique experience of physical motion and high-resolution computer generated graphics.

SUNWAY WILDLIFE INTERACTIVE ZOO
featuring exotic, small and friendly animals from a range of birds, reptiles & mammals
houses more than 90 species of every possible tame animal in the world.
Large unhindered viewing bays offer close up view of the animals. There are no bars or fences – the zoo uses dry, wet moats glass to offer an unobstructed view of the animals. In some areas like the “jungle trail”, animals are free in their wild habitats
